Assuming that you received the max. of $1200, how did you spend yours. Or, what LBC parts would/could you buy?

1- set of panasport alloy wheels

10 gals - silicone brake fluid

1/2 - Eaton super charger

1 - wilton wool carpet set + interior panel reupholstery kit

1 year auto insurance policy

300 gal. - 87 octane gasoline

and for Dale
400 spark plugs
200 fuel filter cartridges
1 gas tank
120 lbs of powder coat
What would you buy?

Had I known a check might be coming, I'd have taken more time off in '07.

I recieved a nice note from the IRS, it said "We have applied your rebate to your taxes owed, please remitt $277.00 for the remaning balance due"

They are from the government and they are here to help.

Went to Loto and had a great time. Thanks Uncle.

Interesting. I thought that's what would have happened to me, but they said the rebate couldn't be applied to your taxes! I had to write a check in April, then got the rebate in June.

As for the money - I put it in the bank. I'm not doing anything different than I ever have, so it'll just pad the bank account a little.

I figure about one fill-up on the heating oil tank should take care of the rebate check. :wall:

Same here!
Although some went to Tony for parts prior, but it eventually all ended up there or on the car.

Applied it towards my shiny new computer. This does have some car content-the shiny new computer (a laptop, no less) is powerful enough to run GT Legends. I need to find a table so I can hook up my wheel and pedal setup!

Kerry,
we got $127 of the $1200 too....the rest went towards back taxes. That kind of sucked since I pay taxes every month towards the mistake I made in 2004 (and paid dearly for it!)
I figured since we were making our payments and had been doing so, that that little error was "corrected" turns out the tax man didn't think so.

I wanted to save mine for some parts for my spit, however my Ford claimed the money. $781 for tires!

Bills, a flat screen 37 inch TV, and a few misc MGB parts (fuel sender, gas cap, front poly bushing set and a brake line.)

The same thing I have done with all the IRS checks the last dozen years. Put them in the bank

Re: Economic Stimulus Checks - How did you spend y

Put it towards the property tax bill we just got for this year - bsrely put a dent in it. Just moving tax money around, don't know why I bother. Sometimes I think......never mind :eeek:
