TR2/3/3A ebay TR3, great write up

Funny!

<span style="font-style: italic"> "If you want a car that is going to make your hands sore from buffing and sanding with 1200 grit paper, make you cuss and buff again then this is the car for you."

"I started wet sanding.......but fishing season is here and so I am not."

"if I would have hammered out any more dents the car would be two foot longer,"

"No Personal checks, chicklets or beads or anything else"</span>

Sounds like that's from a guy who's literally been there, done that.

That familiar refrain of the amateur LBC restorer!

I like the color, beautiful steering wheel setup too.

That is a great post.

That is the sort of seller that I would want to buy a car from. I am sure he is under-selling the car. However, I suspect that he won't get a very good price for it because of his honesty. Looks like a great basis for a good driver.

yeah... it looks like it would be a great driver. There are some vague issues in his description, so I suggested he clarify a few things. His response:

"I almost said, if you can't bid on it what do you care but that would not be very nice. It needs a bumper, the blinkers wired tires wipers new windscreen and inspection. I think that is all you need to drive. Hey, thanks for looking"

I'd probably want to go over the brakes as well and would probably check/replace some suspension bits. Really wish I could get it... EXACTLY what I'd want in a TR3: A car that looks decent, but not so good that my driving times would be dictated by the Weather Channel...

I had to chuckle at your comment that you wanted a side screen car but didn't want tne weather channel to dictate your driving times.

Believe me young man when I say that drives in the Concours Best of Show at TRA to the lowest beater IS dictated by the weather channel. They all leak and leak LOTS. If the wipers work at all, they have two speeds - slow and slower. The inside glass will fog up during a rain if the passengers breathe. If you are fortunate enough to have side screens they will stand out at least two inces at any speed.

If it starts to rain do as most veteran side screen folk do - stop and put on a rainsuit! Best to have a fun loving co-pilot who can laugh while she/he is getting drenched.

All this said but I still love to drive in a side screen car and will until I can no long push the start button!
