Ebay Problems

I sold an extra dash pad through Ebay and used their automatic invoice to invoice the purchaser. Ebay entered an incorrect shipping amount on the invoice incurring an extra expense on my part (the amount was 1/3 the actual shipping costs). First they accused me of entering the shipping data incorrectly. Then they denied responsibility saying the shipping calculations was a "free" service to sellers. After five contacts and finally telling Ebay that I would not be paying my sellers fees for this transaction I got this response...

Dear Phillip,

Thank you for letting us know that invoices are showing an incorrect
invoice amount during checkout. We are aware that this is happening and
hope to have it corrected as quickly as possible.

Please accept our apology for any inconvenience this may be causing.

Hello,

I don't agree with your answer.

Ebay sends an invoice to my customer. Therefore Ebay is responsible for the contents of the invoice, including the incorrect shipping estimate supplied by your vendor. I entered the correct data.

What you need to do to resolve this issue is to allow me to speak to someone with authority to refund the seller's fees. It seems that I can't get past the denial stage of customer service. What will happen is I will not pay my bill at the end of the billing cycle because I am disputing the amount. Ebay is to refund my seller's fees for this item.

Thank you,

Phil Carson

Sounds like they're taking care of it. Considering the millions of items for bid each day, I'm surprised the company can function at all! Keep us posted.
