Now my Abby isn't concours, but it's nice to see that I've made a good investment! Oh, and it looks like the eBay car sits high in the tail end like my C. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
 
The current "Classic Motorsports" magazine touts the MGC as an undervalued, "Buy-it-now" bargain. Interesting to watch and see if their writings influence the market...
 
it's quite a bit faster and "easy going" on the highway especially with an O/D installed.

I've seen some comment on how they think it more of a GT cruiser than a twisties car when in stock form. Personally, I can't comment either way on that matter, but I can say that I'd love to own one some day. I also know that a C can be made to handle turns just as good as any B.

There's something about having a 3.0L straight 6 monster under the bonnet of a car that's the same size as a standard B.

Yea but you could buy a Tiger or big Healey for the same money and everyone wouldn't be saying "Nice MGB!"
 
true... but then it wouldn't be as much of a sleeper either.

Probably true more often than not, but then again I'd never be caught owning a Honda, and I'm not interested in drag racing new cars either. Maybe making their heads turn and wonder what the heck I have under the bonnet to make such a sweet sound, but certainly not in "racing" any of them.
 
oh yeah, for the exhaust sound, I already do that with my measly 1.8L lump... It sounds like a ~much~ bigger engine than it really is /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gif

I don't mind folks thinking my MGCs are MGBs....makes for a nice conversation starter.

I wouldn't go that far. A modified C can be made to handle as well as a stock B, but a modified B will leave a C in the dust on a twisty road. Get onto a road or track with wider turns and the C will outrun the B without much difficulty. A C is certainly no slouch when set up properly.
