In a different topic, one member asked about an ebay "mystery" bid. Got me to wondering too, as something very similar had happened to me. So I used ebay's Bidding forum to ask about that type of problem.

A six pack of your favorite brew if you manage to read through the entire list of "helpful replies". Man - talk about useless.

PS - the ebay forums aren't staffed by ebay folks, just by "helpful ebay members"

I feel your pain, Tom.

Sass - you're very helpful indeed. Hope your medication amount is figured out soon. (good grief ... I came here for help, not ridicule)

I like that response Tom

Pat

Pat - it gets even better. I haven't been on that forum since yesterday, and it's still racing along. I'm the "OP". Over 80 "helpful replies" so far. Here's the latest two - the first from the forum "moderator" regarding my original request:

Perhaps the discussion group protocol could use some discussion itself. In my opinion, reading this thread is proof ....the OP expressed what I believe are valid and compelling concerns about how the discussion/interview unfolded and transpired. The group could have a meeting and discuss these concerns......

I'm only showin' up if malkin and brewer show up too, with something to *ahem* lubricate the discussion.....

And my wife thinks that an obsession with old cars is odd. I should point her to these characters...

Maxsniper really torqued me! I replied. Some idiots are just idiots and they think humor at someone else's expense is okay. Well, it's not. All of us needs to be held accountable for what we say. Shame on him and the others that were certainly less than helpful.

Hey thanks! I saw your two posts there. Very much appreciated. I finally just sent a message to that "moderator" Maj for also trying to calm them all down. Maj is apparently the only one that thinks the Bidding Forum should actually try to help folks with Bidding questions. Amazing! I swear they all seem like very lonely people who have absolutely nothing to do but argue with each other. What a waste.

Unreal how they're fighting - what a barroom brawl. I made three posts - their replies are now over 170.

 I checked in and you are correct. It certainly did start quite a riot! I agree, they really need to get a life. All that energy should be bottled.

Tom,

You owe me a 6 pack!I waded through all
6 pages (202 posts)of that garbage.What a waste
of everyone's time.
Aren't you thankful that these people don't
own British cars & on the Forum?
There was a movie called "Between Time &-
-Timbuktu" that I was reminded of after reading
those posts.

Unbelievable. It's now reached over 200 posts.

Doug - you hit it on the nose. BCF has helpful humans for members - for which we're all eternally grateful. But that ebay forum has some folks closely resembling specially trained Barbary apes.

With certain exceptions, of course!

T.

Ok these people need a life or a hobby! With the amount of time they have to snipe and complain half that time into worthy pursuits and we souldn'[t have sorld hunger, roadside trash or anything. WOw

I have a bunch of immature people like that
for "neighbors",who who help to support their
buddies behavior.
