ebay bidding technique

I've not done nearly as many transactions, but find that once I figure when the auction will end on my sweep second hand desk clock, a bid submission in the last 2 or 3 seconds will be the last bid. No fancy software, just the ability to read a clock and a steady finger are all you need - IMHO.

When I snipe an auction I put my best bid in if it wins, fine, if not, that's OK too; regardless of whether there's another sniper that comes in later. I don't mind paying a little for the convenience of setting it up and then ignoring it. I avoid the long exposure to nibblers bidding things up til their limit.

Against another sniper I reckon its best bid wins, and with 2-3 seconds you wouldn't get a second chance if my slightly earlier maximum were higher than your own.
