Easy 7 starter switch ????

Well, I have read it before somwhere.. My mechanic said it can be done... But he has never done it...

HOW can you change the starter on a TR7 without taking off the exhaust from the manifold???

I am not pleased as I just did this rediculous switch last year. I will be dropping the old one off at the other crooks door.

Anyone make my life easier here???

i have never figured out how to do it, even on a 7 with no cat. the engine support strut seems to get in the way.
