Easter Weekend

I have gotten the itch. This beautiful weather is just too much. So I'm taking the girl and the Spitfire and spending the weekend in Cresson, Pa. I hope to be able to make it to all the places we want to go to like the Horseshoe Curve and the Allegheny Portage Railroad between tonight and Sunday when we come home. Staying at the Station Inn which I hear is a nice place. So if anybody is local feel free to stop by and say hi! Will be the only dirty green Spit out there!

We're staying close to home this weekend, but I'd love to get up there to see the railroad.

Have fun!

Made it back yesterday after an amazing weekend out and about. Spitfire performed flawlessly despite the owner performing less so. The home made breakfasts served at the Station Inn are not to be compared as they are extremely good. Biscuits, sausage gravy and a dippy egg the first morning, English muffin, home fries, and scrambled eggs with ham and cheese the second. First morning I was not really awake when I decided the car needed washed and ended up soaked and almost 3 inches of water inside the car(yes the top was up). We bounced back and forth all day on little winding back roads between Altoona, Gallitzen, Cresson, Lilly, and Cassandra. 80+ trains spotted on our trip including 12 SD80's at one time pull into Cresson for service. What better use for a 34 year old sports car? I would recommend the Station Inn to anybody in that area although the owner created a monster out of the fiance... The owner got out his set of air horns and let her blow the horn at passing trains, she still has a huge smile on her face.
