Just read a news report about a fairly strong quake in the vicinity of Eureka. Doug, are you and family OK?? I hope everything rode it out OK

Dang, Jesse. saw that on the news and after dinner I was gonna post the same question.
Well, Doug?

We're all on stand-by!!

No problems - House (wood framed) shook worse than I
ever rememeber.Knocked things off of shelves, crack in the
walkway between the house & garage.
I went out to the garage, and .....almost nothing! The
Datsun B210's on jackstands - didn't fall!Things moved,but
not much.
I went to "do my duty" at the fire dept.Ended up "baby-
sitting" a downed power line.Pager's been going off constantly.
Lots of "smell of gas" calls.
It could have been a whole lot worse.I had to lagh when Fox-
News said that it was "just North of San Francisco! We're about
300 miles North of SF.
Thank you for your concerne.

They are saying it was 6.5! That's a pretty significant quake! Glad you are OK!!

I heard the epicenter was off the coast pretty deep in the ocean?
