Early Flywheel Question

I was a shear operater/maintenence/manual labor/drove a '57 "uke", and a forklift. The 57 "uke" (a huge dumptruck with tires bigger than my 4-runner) nearly scared me to death (I litterally thought I was gonna die) one day when the left front wheelbearing let loose with a whole load of stailess steel crop ends. Tire went clean off. Truck flipped forward and scared the crap out of me in more ways than one.

3 months later we had loaded our last bit of scrap steel onto a barge and I didn't have a job anymore.

That n 17 bucks. - That danged job had me disallusioned for how much money I could make - for at least 10 years. I still don't make within $7 dollars of that figure.

Hence.... Anyone want to hire me? Or start a business with me? Or me go in partially with you? And yes, I've been avoiding all those Nigerian job offers in my email.
 
"Outside Inspectors" were what you guys were called where I was (Babcock & Wilcox). I did a LOT of nuclear grade materials testing. The QC manuals and some pretty sophisticated ultrasonic inspection gear was designed and built in my house as I grew up. Was "second nature" for me. Was given "lessons" in what was going on, Snell's Law etc, by physics PhD's while I was barely out of diapers... and these folks all drove contemporary LBC's too!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
 
Oh my word Doc. I have made much money over the years from Babcock & Wilcox on boiler rebuilds and scrubber instalations.

Have chased parts all over the world for them.
 
"Babs 'n Willie". Defunct now. Real shame that. Ol' Fella spent 43 years there. I only did a four year hitch, saw the writing onna wall, and moved to Florida.

Nice 'n warm most times. Peeps whine over the HOT summer temps, but I'd rather sweat than shiver ANY time. High 90's beats low 20's in MY book.
 
And some places it even snows Doc, can you beleive that?
 
We always seem to go to Florida In august. I don't think the hot temps would hurt us - hehehehe. Plus, the hotels are nearly empty in august - I never made the connection. More pool for us - hahahaha /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Last time here was in '77. Luckily I missed that... I wuz in PA., workin' as a millrat then. Not "unnatural" for snow there.
