Hi,
does anyone have measurements including the shank diameter (approx 10mm) of the bolts that attach the rear shocks to the chassis, mine would have been BSF in their day, should be I think the same as later ones.

These are the same up to the early 3000's, a 3/8 1.25 long 24 TPI,
Just that on trying to tighten up existing bolts found that there was not enough clearance to put ring spanner on.
Do BSF,Whitworth,Metric bolts all have the same width head in relation to the shank of the same diameter?

You're correct in the bolt size. However, using a socket headed screw instead makes it easier to tighten every oil change.

I give up ... what's a 'socket headed screw:

A screw, or bolt, is a type of fastener.--Keoke- :jester:

Just be glad they're getting away from the Pozi-Drive Screw...

Me, I like the 12 point bolts. They use a smaller socket or spanner to install than a 6 point. Usually come in grade 8 or higher. 12-point-bolts

Me, I like the 12 point bolts. Well just wait until you try some of those 12 point screws.
