E-Type fuel pump speks?

I'm going to replace the in-tank electric fuel pump in my Series 1 E-Type coupe with a modern external fuel pump. I am going to use a Facet universal pump, 2.5 - 4.5 psi, 30 GPH pump. Should this be sufficient? I can't find any speks on the original pump. I have used the universal Facet pumps in all my cars and have found them reliable and inexpensive.

Should work. Another alternative is a Carter, #P60504. In-line and quieter than the Facet.

Facets work fine if you still have the 3 SU's. If you switched to Weber carbs, you'll need the Carter. I haven't found a Facet with over 2.5 lbs. of pressure - usually they're a bit lower, but work well with SU's. The Webers need a bit more pressure, especially at a 3500 RPM flooring, and the Carters have a bit more pressure. I too, prefer Facets in the Jags.

Phil.
