E-Bay "no low ball" 6's

Just for kidding...Have a look at E-Bay Triumph, there is a pair of "6" and a 250 up for sale for parts and the starting price is 15,000$. Seller is pleading "no low ball please" and cant believe he is serious.
I would not pay a third for hose cars...

I think he would have had a problem making one good car out of those.

Too many people think they are sitting on GOLD when all they have is TRASH!
 
I really needed a good laugh today and that certainly provided one. That guy must be on some serious crack or he sniffed whatever rotten fuel was left in the tanks of those cars. $15 Grand??? He has gone off the deep end with that number, but if he gets any offer close, the buyer needs some emergency help soon!
 
That poor, poor TR-250. I very much doubt that one will ever be brought back to life. It breaks my heart to see another TR-250 fade into oblivion. Though who knows? Perhaps someone will rescue it. *sigh*
 
He seems to have persuaded his potential buyers to hold back until they are serious about coughing up the $15K. No bids as of yet.......
 
It looks like his high bid price may have been placed just to keep people from bidding on the cars. He seems to be using the ebay auction as advertising only with the hopes that potential buyers will then email him with more realistic offers. I don't know if that's kosher with eBay. But it does appear he is not really expecting $15k for the lot. Still, I'd have to say that "any" offer should be acceptable and that there could be no such thing as "low-balling" on these sad cars.
 
Hmmmmm. You may be on to something. He may get away with that once, but the ebay marshals patrol the wild bidding west heavily and will probably catch up to him rather quickly, should he try again.
 
This shows a real misunderstanding of an auction, though I suppose he'll get more people looking at a $15K pile of parts than he would otherwise.

He'd have better luck selling each on its own with a low price to pull in a few bids and a reserve to keep it from going at a "low ball" price. And asking for bids outside e-bay must violate their policy.
 
I don't think he understands the meaning of the term 'low-ball'... and I'm real sure he doesn't understand eBay's auction policies.

Now, now... you'll push his blood pressure into the danger zone....

But he seems to have changed his listing, maybe the e-bay powers have spoken to him about the oddities in it.
