Dwell/Tach Hookup to Pos Ground with Petronix?

I want to hook up my dwell/tach to my Pos Gr TR3 with Petronix but I dont want to fry anything. The green clip is supposed to connects to the -coil terminal and the black clip goes to - battery terminal. But this is a POS gr car so what would be the hook up here? My dyslexia strikes again.

You're not likely to fry anything Karl, the meter is almost certainly protected against anything you could do wrong (except maybe laying it on the exhaust manifold ).

Because of the unusual way the positive ground Pertronix connects, I believe you want to use exactly the same connections for the dwell/tach. The green clip goes to the same coil terminal that has the lead from the Pertronix (which should be the "-" or "SW" terminal), and the black clip goes to the "-" battery terminal.

But dont you want the black clip to go to "Ground" which would be the + Pos terminal on a TR3?
