Dwell is Off, But Gap is Correct?

I don't think it was mentioned but, even if you set the points at their proper gap, a worn shaft bearing will cause the dwell to be slightly off in most cases. I would use the dwell readings which are more important and let the gap fall where it may. The gap won't be that far off unless the dizzy is totally worn out. JMHO. PJ
