Has anyone ever found a tool that helps remove the dust caps on the front hubs? I want to check my bearing tightness and darm if I can tap the dust caps off. Thanks

I presume this is for a TR6. Rimmer Bros of England list a tool:
Part Number HU508
Description SETSCREW 3/16 UNF X 1"
Retail Price £0.45 inc. VAT (£0.38 exc. VAT)
I have always used a pair of channel-lock pliers. I grip the cap ridge with the plier perpindicular to the wheel and lever the cap back and forth until it is all the way out. Works for me.
MG provided on on every 1800 engine....its the long head stud nut on the rear passenger side of the engine - one end is threaded to fit the head stud, the other end fits the threaded stud on the end of the dust cap....I've taken one & attached a head stud with a "T" handle welded to it....just screw it onto the stud on the cap & pull!
I MIG welded a 10-32 nut inside each of the front wheel caps - in line with the hole. To take the caps off, I screw in a 10-32 screw and jack them off straight and they don't get bashed with heavy tools.
