Does the '94 have them? Not knowing the truth (and only guessing here as '95 seemed to be a turning point in most auto MFG'ers way of building things) maybe it does - and similar to your 1994 manuals show... If the manuals and the car doesn't match, then check back here... Someone who actually knows will be along shortly. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Here's a few things that may cause that...
Corroded/dirty battery terminals
Loose battery terminals
Loose ground - either at battery or at alternator - engine ground strap loose, missing, dirty, or frayed.
bad connections at the alternator
Possibly voltage regulator problems?
Bad relay somewhere
Bad battery (broken internal connections - may be intermittenet, bad cell in battery - won't charge over 11V, etc).
Thermal breakdown of a wire or connection somewhere in the engine bay due to one of the above conditions.

Check the fan belt for condition & tightness. The alternator may be putting out a good charge at idle, but if the belt is not tight enough, the alternator can have trouble putting out a good charge under load.
If you have a dump module, it will be connected to the smaller terminals of the alternator. follow the wires back from the terminals. The module will not look like much, meaning that it is small in size. I don't know exactly how it works internally.
