Huh, I wuz gonna say it was to make the taillights more visible. After Tinman's experience, I would say that's a good thing.
 
Pretty obvious;their was a time when ALL manufacturers DID IT.GM explains
They did it to LIGHT UP THE NIGHT BETTER.,It was a safety coolness about it.My 70 Camero RS SP had it.
Close the box.(THAT was a time long ago & far away :rolleyes:)emmbeded windshield radio anntenas were a cool thing too,as were blackout headlight rims,lazy eye headlight covers etc,etc,etc.
Ken&Whitelightning(Coker WW's are cool too.)(not to mention FUZZY DICE :c);-)

Bill, Bill, Bill....don't be silly. You know better than to ask that question. Yours is as pristene as anyones car. It's not about pristene, it's about the fact that you have wire wheels and we don't!!!

I know that you drive yours more than me. Heck, with with I've been doing for the past six months, a frame off in progress gets moved more than mine. And I met up with Al on a cold and windy day in CT a few weeks ago and he had his car out, with both windows down on the highway. And Bobby's the guy whose car is a test bed for Rick Patton, so we know he drives it.

Now you might have a run for your drive time money time with TR6 Bill, with him being in warmer weather and all that.
