Yesterday I have decided to turn to dual beam LED my Head lighs, easy work, and a lot of difference (around +30%)in efficiency
as it absorb only less than 1,5A for each light- (LED=3A Halogen 20A --LED 3000 Lumen Halogen 400)
The better benefit are for car with the original poor Dynamo- The lower absorption, also spare from relays lights control

and here the result --OLD on comparison with NEW

My car is NEGATIVE ground wired. BUT this specific choice of LED HL works also on my POSITIVE ground wired MG TD, as I have experienced

Andrea,

As always, I am always impressed with your projects. I am using the Halogen sealed beams. What lenses are you using? What bulbs?

All the best,
Ray (64BJ8P1)

Hello Andrea,

I also was looking into LED bulbs for my 3000 MK III
Somewhere on this forum you'll find my thread.

My questions would be.
1. What is the Cree model number?
2. What make a model number is the headlight beam? (I was comparing Hella H4 vs Cibie H4)
3. When you clip the LED assembly into the back of the headlight, does the headlight still fit inside the headlight bucket without modification?
4. Is there any difference in the light pattern, as wider, farther, higher etc? (Both the lens and the bulb will affect that)

We all look forward to your reply.
Thanks for sharing your project.

Roger

Hi all
this LED Hi and Low beam light was signaled to me by a friend that have a Norton Motorcycle as me
the problem are the same of our car --generator send few power battery is small-Norton are POSITIVE GROUN originally wired

I haven't one reference number I find this on ebay.com shipped from Cina (No shipping costs added)
only reference that appear nearest the LEDS are LED 330-14
socket are H4 standard
NO relays are used for wiring this LED lamps
I have fit the led of my head light (without any problem, just the orientation of the lips) electrically my harness was modified and have the Pig tail adaptator
https://www.ahspares.co.uk/austin-healey/big-healey/Lighting/PIGTAIL-headlampcw-adaptor.aspx
so all the work is "connecting"
my lens have on front write BRITPART and was newly fitted during the rebuild probably by AHEAD HEALEY
I have added to this my album (see the later photos added)all the photos, that I have shared searching this LED

I have added also one copy of oldest ebay.com sale (NOT mine but sure same lights) --Hope this helps
before the order I have asked the confirmation that the LED aren't, ground + / - sensitive -the seller give me the confirmation and I have ordered
(my motorcycle friend have signaled to me that this hind of lamps was RIGHT for NORTON-POSITIVE Ground wired
