driving dog [gear] for distributor?

First, thank you in advance or any help! Been 8 years or so on this full restoration and we are almost ready to turn the engine over. 59 Austin Healey 100/6 BN4. somewhere along the project, I mis-placed what I believe is the "driving dog" that goes between the distributor (at the base) and the actual gear. My more experienced expert that is helping me with this step pointed out my missing part.
I don't know how to describe it and I cannot find a good picture. Again, Moss describes it as the driving dog. Which, is what I am looking for as I may have it.......there is a pic in Moss that shows it, however, it is small and I cannot see the details (old eyes). if I cannot find it in my "carefully organized" remaining parts, I am worried that it is not available. Please help me get to the next step in this long project.

Regards,

Doug

If you have to bite the bullet and buy a new one, Moss has these for $175. PN 021-330 on "Internal Engine 100-6, 3000" page".

If you don't have the stock pin you can use a roll pin.

Between the engine block and distributor sits a short tower containing the mechanical tach-drive take off. Do you have this part__fitted at least up to the 3000 MKIII models (pretty sure the BJ7s still used a mechanical tach, but I've been wrong before).

Vent window nut from an MGB (hidden inside door). The extra length makes it easy to keep an open-end wrench engaged, and it's only 3/8" across the flats, easier to get a smaller tool in there!

For the past couple of decades, I've been using this oversize'd wing-nut (source unknown) so no tool required at all!

Yes the BJ7s still have mechanical tach. At least mine does and the set up is as Randy shows it.

thanks everyone! with the pic (you helped me understand what I was looking for, I was able to locate it in my "unused" stash. All good and moving forward.

also, just an fyi. I contacted Bruce at Healey Surgeons (he rebuilt my transmission for me a few years ago) and they do have the part if anyone temporarily misplaces it like I did......thankfully, I found it
