I need to replace the bottom portion of the driver's seat vinyl on Emma (my '75) Seat is ripped at the seam, beyond repair. I really do not want to buy an entire seat kit since I only need the butt portion!

Any idea where I can find one, the rest of the seat(s) are in great shape!

Junkyard? There's not a junkyard around here that has MGs in it.
 
Does Emma have black seats? I have a buddy who has done a couple of Fiero/Miata seat conversions and *may* still have his old seats.
 
Or....Duct Tape....then Emma can compete with our Duct Tape Special!

NO. Never ever will I ducktape my car anywhere it's visible.
 
Not one in any of the 3 huge junkyards I've been in (and yes, I've been in them recently with Chuck pricing windshields for Sarah's beater Saturn)

Hey Tony you got any used seat covers left after jaybird gets through I could use a drivers side for my 77. Passenger seat perfect, drivers seat a wreck!
 
Guess I need to inventory all my used upholstery!
 
I have bought good vinel at trim shops and at fabric shops both?

In fact what I bought in the US exactly matched the seat kit I got from the UK long ago.
 
Can I jump in and ask if there is a drivers side black seat bottom for a 67 available?
 
Funny this thread came up. Bought a driver's side seat from a junkyard yesterday. It was autum leaf color but a can of vinyl coat spray paint was a perfect match. Thought I'd jump on the BCF while seatrail paint is drying.
If Janal's seatcovers are black, any cover could be used and painted.See attached.

Just checked the pic. It is a perfect match but the lighting on the seatback is brighter.

Why didn't I think of that? Particularly after we realized last weekend in Memphis that Brian's seats and door panels are dyed/painted!?
