I see these books listed for Mk 1 Bn7, AKD 1102, AKD 1102A, and also 1102B
My BN7 was built in Dec 1959, whick one would be the correct one for my car.
 
AKD1102A googles as correct for an early BN7 which is the model you appear to have.

If the book this # links to is a "Driver's Manual" (which it seems to be) you can buy a reprint from Moss (pn . 212-670) for $29.00
 
Well, I see they list both books, so there must be a difference/ This one I am looking at is an original one. I might get a reprint for use.

Hope this helps, there are a few (other) differences between AKD1102 and AKD1102A

AKD1102B also has descriptions on LHD instrumentpanel
 
Yes, that helps, my car number is 6654, so that would include my car, and shows that it was printer after earlier cars. That was a good idea to look at Moss. I didn't see the book numbers on the web site, they had the books, and they show 4 together, one says Mk1 and Mk2, so that would not be the proper vintage for my car since its M1, so one without that would be more correct. Thanks for your help. So i assume you have both of those books to look at??

Not sure but I think I have almost reached the point that I have (at least) one of each version ever printed

I can check the later versions in my collection now I know your cars number

In addition to publication AKD1102B [BN7 BT7] a supplement was added with number AKD 1981 suitable for the ‘3000’ Mk. 11 with vertical slats grille.
Publication AKD1102D states; BN7 BT7 Mk 1 and 11. In addition to AKD1102D a supplement was added with number 3253B for the Mk II BJ7

Hi all. I'm new to the forum and actually registered to participate in this thread. It seems very difficult to find information on the driver's handbooks. I was wondering which version would be the correct one for my 3000 BN7 MK1. Build date is March 30st 1960. Car/Chassis No 86xx. LHD US export. According to my knowledge my car should be "post-thermo carb", so I'm assuming the correct book is either AKD 1102A or 1102B. What is the difference between the two and which one would be the correct one for my Healey? Any expert advice is greatly appreciated!
 
Hard to say. There is some difference in the page layout, content seems the same.
Numberwise I think the 1102B version is OK for your car. There is a supplement for 1102B in white paper and one page (inlay) in red print.

So my intuition seems to have been correct. I found a good deal for 1102B on ebay and received it just yesterday. (Condition of the cover is not perfect but I was mainly interested in the content).

Do you have any information on the supplement and inlay? (Maybe even a picture?)

Ah, I get it. So the supplement contained additional info for the first MK2s. Since I have an MK1 this would not be applicable to my car. Many thanks!
