Weather is finally getting warm here and the battery is on the charger.

I am hoping Ms Triss will be running by then. So, here is hoping that mine won't be the only picture posted in this thread. (and hoping that mine will be one of the ones posted in this thread)

Unfortunately I won't be anywhere near that point in 2 weeks.....I'm hoping to see mine move under its own power sometime this summer and maybe be road legal by the end of the year (not putting great odds on it, but it could happen).....

I think Onslo will get on the road for the occasion.

For a number of years I would attend club events and shows with a baggie with the VIN numbers in it. It always felt like some of the car was there. :D

New wheels and tyres on the Alvis ready for drive it day in the uk

I DON'T THINK SO!
why not? Seriously, while it is the Federation of Historic British Vehicles that started it - this is the requirement to show at Beaulieu.

Owners of pre-2005 vehicles (inclusive of 2005) of any make and model are invited to join the celebration at Beaulieu and show their support for keeping motoring heritage alive on UK roads, whilst also supporting NSPCC and their work.

It's about celebrating historic/ classic cars and the Miata absolutely qualifies. Besides there are enough classic car snobs out the - rivet counters - pedants - etc. Just get out and drive and enjoy it! (and share some of those great pics with us) Like the hobby, it's supposed to be fun.

Y'all drive a little extra for me. I've had some health issues that have kept me from driving or working on the little cars this spring, so get out there today and put on a few miles for me. :driving:

That sucks! I've been there,& hated it.

Apparently, I engage in "drive it day" every day, since my newest car is my Miata and it is a 96 model. Who woulda thought that 2005 would be considered an old car by anyone?

Went for a drive yesterday to a Club outing for our "Season Opener" brunch. This peacock was fascinated by my Healey:

According to the photographer, shortly after this he flapped his wings and squawked loudly as I think he thought he had a male rival… I found a couple of marks on the door as I was cleaning up.
I liked your post and picture … until the “I found a couple of marks on the door…”

Dirt, or scratches?

Looked like rock hits until I received the photo. I suspect they are beak pecks. I have a kit from Dr. Color Chip and have filled in the first one. It's what I get for a mirror-like finish. ;)

The Healey survived is dust up with the peacock. It's a good story.
