Dream Car

I'm a member over at a Russian gun forum as well, and recently it has turned into a car place also (in the general discussion zone). So, I pose the same question here; what would you buy if you could buy any car?

1. Can be any pricetag
2. Can be from any year, not just 2012 new
3. Can't be a one-off (concept or race car)
4. No tanks, motorcycles or trikes

Other than that, no holds barred.

My other forum came up with a Ferrari 512 Berlinetta Boxer, the Ford RS200, an old pre-WW2 Bugatti, Mercedes G4, Porsche 959, Toyota Landcruiser, a 2 or 5 ton US Military truck, Porsche 917, LTD Crown Vic, Maybach Exelero, Maserati GranTurismo, and the Shelby GT500.

Here are mine:

Mercedes G4
Ford RS200
LTD Crown Vic (must be black)
Buick GNX

I just could not pick one... Each has a seperate purpose...

Too many choices!

But this one keeps popping up:

"what would you buy if you could buy any car?"

Similar to you, I can't pick just one!

If it's just "a car to have", I'd pick the 1940 Mercedes-Benz 540K.

If it's a daily driver, then a 1961 Mercedes-Benz 220S or SE.

Good eyes. But I just used that as a picture because many Crown Vics arn't black. Their gray or blue or white.

I think they look best in black, and every other color dosen't cut it.

Everyone likes Bugattis... Interesting.

Ferrari daytona.
4.2 liter E type coupe (series 1)
5.3 liter type 2+2 Daily Driver
64 Pontiac GTO Tri power and 4 speed
Porsche 959
Jaguar XJ220
Maclaren F1 (car not a race car)

I would love to have a Pontiac G8 GXP... Barring that I want a TR6 in the worst way.

I like Holdens too. If you ever go to their website, they make a huge range of V8 cars. Pontiac was thinking about bring the Maloo Ute over here as another El Camino, but, well, you all know what happened.

Commodore, Caprice, Maloo, Colorado. They even sell the Cruze too, which is Korean.

American cars have lost their power. Australia still holds on.

Can't pick just one. here's my top 5 picks.
1976 VW Westfailia Van. I'm thinkin' that lime green color, or red, blue or orange all with the 2-tone white.
Model-T touring, stock
Model-A Sedan or touring also stock.
Or a Model A roadster with no fenders, wire spoke wheels, and a tri-Stromberg powered flathead V-8. Flat black, red wheels, whitewalls, red interior.
Morris Minor Traveler any color

Today, I'd have to go with a MB 300SL. Saw one in person last summer, and boy howdy talk about presence.

I consider myself lucky in that I've got the car I always wanted. If anything, I would up the ante and go for a more famous version. PBL-75 come to mind: Otherwise, I'm goin' Peterbilt. Thanks to the internet I found just the right one... For the record the "no tanks" rule is lame.

Well, on my Russian gun forum, you need to put that up there so it dosen't become a "Tanks of the World" debate.

Dream car? As in always a dream / never reality? Nah....
