draining old fuel from gas tank 3000 mk II Bj7

Would appreciate info on draining the fuel tank on my healey. It doesn't appear that there is a drain plug.

Thank you,

Robert

I drained mine a few weeks ago. Mine does have a drain plug, but as it was moderately full of fuel I chose to syphon it out. I was concerned about not being able to stop the flow of fuel should the volume be in excess of the jerry can/s I had to drain it into. Once the amount was down to a small quantity I was able to lift the tank out of the car without trouble.

I refurbished my BJ7 tank a few months ago. It had a drain plug. When I lifted it out of the trunk it had very little fuel in it.
