What is/are the best location/s to get all of the old gas out of the tank and lines? I am guessing I need to get the gas, if there is any, out of the carbs. The car hasn't been started in 6+ months. Should I add a gas treatment that removes water once I have it empty?

Removing the fitting on the bottome of the fuel tank will drain the tank, but may leave some residual puddles. As for the fuel line running the length of the frame I would suggest disconnecting both ends at fuel filter and fuel tank then blowing compressed air thru should do the trick.

I just replied to MadRiver's (Bill's) post about storage. You may have heard about this through the club.
"I received an email from out local club last week about 2 members of the Nashville club losing their cars to fires recently. One incident involved a one owner TR6 in a shop for a simple oil change. The other was the loss of an entire collection of Porsche racers."
The TR6 fire started when the mechanic removed the gas line to better access the oil filter. They're not sure what ignited the gas. Speculation was that it may have been static electricity. This time of year when it's cold it's also very dry inside. Easy to develop a pretty strong static charge.
When you heat air you decrease the humidity. Doubling the temp halves the humidity.
