If you're into photography at all, you probably know about www.dpreview.com
I have been a member there for several years and it was always one of my go-to places for new gear reviews, comparisons, etc. Well, a few years ago, they were bought by Amazon and Amazon has made the decision that DPReview isn't worth keeping open. That's really a shame as it was a very good, useful site.

I wonder if it was collateral damage from all the layoffs that Amazon has been doing.

Tony Northrup, one of the more prominent photography YouTubers, isn't happy either. They had some amazing resources, such as their high resolution comparison tool that allowed you to compare what images looked like with up to four different cameras.

Must share his sentiment regarding buying any photo related stuff from Amazon going forward. Losing the information on the DPR site is a real shame. I've used it in part to determine what optics would best suit our purposes as we outfit the DSLR's. The resource will be missed.
