I'd love to have the money to get an Italia...
 
Nice car and I love the Dove, just for the way they got rid of the hot air from the engine compartment, has got to be a better flow over the carbs.

I know that I'm going to be in the minority here, but I think that it kills the TR4 styling lines that I have always loved. For me it looks clunky and an after-thought that in some of those shots seems to be sagging and trying to slide off the back. Different strokes for different folks; it would be boring if we all agreed on everything. JMHO.
 
When I saw that I was like WHAT?!? I swore that car looked familiar. Now I know why... ...Its a TR4 hatchback!!! Ya know, typically car manufacturers will take coupes and later make convertibles from them, but for Triumph its the other way around. Weird. At least it wasnt in factory like the GT6, which explains why only 43 made.
 
A really lovely car. The "insurance valuation" works out to $70,489 at todays exchange rate.

Is anyone "wise" enough to pay that kinda scratch for that car? It will be interesting to see how the bidding goes. In case like this where the car's value is somewhat unknown, eBay may better serve as an advertising platform, not as a sales venue.

Not a bad way to advertise, really, for such a rare car.

Personally, I think its a tough sell. Nothing against the hatchback, but if I wanted a Dové, I'd look for a very stock one. And if I wanted a rallye car with vents it would look just like the factory versions complete with surrey top. But then again I have too much stuff already so that's just my opinion!

Have to agree, not the best bit of styling, does not complement the TR4 at all.
 
Darrell, I don't know how serious you are about an Italia, but Wilson Motors (wilsonmotorco.com) has one on there FOR YEARS, asking $50K, that they probably ought to come down on.
