Dot Snaps

Hey guys,
Just a refreshing little blurb that I experienced today. I recently installed a new Robbins Sun Fast top on my TR6 (did it myself) and noted that the six snaps that came with the kit (bought it all from TRF) that hold the top down on the sides below the side vinyl windows (syntax problem) weren't holding very well. Installed all new male parts in the body. Contacted Robbins in Cal and they were really nice enough to send me some Heavy Duty Dot snaps that really hold tight! The guy at Robbins in the tech dept. was a prince, sent enough to use and extras to screw up. Popped the old (new) ones out with a sharp drill bit and pair of Vice Grips and set the new ones in in about 10 minutes. Nice to have a fix that works so well. Now I just have to convince my neighbors that I am not nuts pushing the car down the street 59'9.5" while watching my speedo cable turn. My wife will do the pushing.
This forum is always fun.

I'd guess they'll think SHE is the one who is crazy.

BTW -- wouldn't it be 52' 9.6"?

Bill, seeing that it's British, aren't the neighbors used to seeing it pushed by now? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif
