Doortop fingergrip installation

Anybody have any suggestions on installing new doortop fingergrip crashpads? Should I put the clips on first and then spray adhesive to the pad and then put in on the door tyring to slide the edges under the clips? Or put the clips on last and everything else first? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

Mike, put the doortop fingergrips on first. I not sure about a spray glue in this case, a small bottle with a brush would keep it off the paint. Then put the clips on and using a bent peice of flat metal making a small hook at the bottom, may take a couple of times to get the bend right, pull up on the clips and push the weather strip into the clip. Works just as well on the out side rubber as well, just make sure you are in the slot designed for the clip on the outer rubber. I has seen a special tool for this in Moss and a real nice one on Ebay, if I had ten to do Yea but one, go with the bend. Wayne
