We have encountered a couple of problems with the adjustment of the side windows on a 1972 TR6 restoration. First, the line of the front of the glass is not parallel with the windshield frame. It is closer at the top than at the bottom. We have tried to loosen all of the adjustments on the winder and the tracks to little avail. Secondly, how does one stop the upward travel of the window so as to prevent it from extending above the top of the windshield.

Part FE73 on this Roadster Factory catalogue page is an adjustable stop which should limit how high the window glass goes. This may or may not help with the windshield alignment of the glass but hopefully it will get you started in the right direction.
