Door top rails

Does anyone have an opinion on the replacement padded door top rails from Victoria British ($ 99.95) vs. the ones from Moss Motors ($189.95) ?

Check with Healey Surgeons too

VB is also priced for the pair, nearly 1/2 as much, is why I'm asking to see if the quality is similar to the Moss set.

YOU get what you pay for:wink-new:

I also am in need of the top rails. The vinyl is fine but the foam is deteriorating inside. Does anyone know a source for just the foam?

No TH, Never seen them advertised that way. But any good upholstery shop should be able to redo them for you

I purchased the Moss set a few years ago, when they had a sale...paid $149 for the pair. I was not impressed with the quality. The foam is not a cast of the original profile, but a rail cut at an angle at the front to taper down under the wing window. All glued up with vinyl covering. The glue was horrible as it didn't stick well. I had to disassemble the whole mess, retrim the tapered section to fit, and recover using decent glue. I don't think the VB set could be worse.

Note that the Healey Surgeons or UKHealey Center ones are offered in different colors too, if you are so inclined.

Good luck with your purchase....BTW, if I were to do it over, I would just recover the original foams.....
