Door seals?

Okay, my 76 Midget was repainted at some point and currently on the doors/sills there is no seal material. Should the car have some type of seals around the door area? Was it a liner on the car or attached to the door?

If it's supposed to have one, any recommendations on what to get to replace it?

I'm looking for door seals in "Autumn Leaf" color to match my interior. It currently has them in autumn leaf.

Wondering, what was the original, and what is concours for the seals???

Anyone?

Trevor, great sayer of Spridget sooth, thanks for that link.

Here's the reply to my email request from MacGregor:

Hello Mark , yes we make 8 colours in our new "Bristleflex" doorseals , including the brown for autumn leaf interiors. Price is $155.00 Canadian per pair , plus post and packing. We accept Visa. Our web site badly needs updating -- sorry. Thanks for now , regards , Martin MacGregor. Toll - free # 1-877-777-6381.

By the way, $155 Canadian is $140 US. Not cheap. However, for example, Moss sells the plain black vinyl ones for $127.

Ouch.

Thanks, Trevor! :yesnod:

Martin is a good guy, but busy... so if you need something in a timely fashion you should let him know and see if he can guarantee it.

I got a sample of their Bristleflex a while back. Super high quality.
