I need door panels for my '74 MGB and was contemplating making them myself. I'll either model them after the original or use some ideas that people have used themselves. If anyone has pics of some custom MG door panels or the originals from '74, I'd like to take a look.

If anyone has used door panels from a '74 that they want to part with, let me know.

Thanks
Vince

I made some out of the 1/4" tile board that you use as a shower suround, with the tile side in. I just traced my old ones, and covered them with a high quality textured vinyl. The only thing I didnt do, is add the clips that hold the panels on like the originals. These hold up better, and are water proof, but not as easy to take off. I used liquid nails in ways that all you have to do is wack them off with a chisel in one hit at each spot. My choice of course. But if you want to find a way to add a clip, it shouldnt be too hard. They look good, and I will try to send pictures when I get them back on.

Vince,

I will take some pics of mine, which I think were replaced with Moss panels in the 80's by a previous owner. I also have an original pair here that are kind of ratty (holes cut in them for speakers) that you can have at cost...let me know if you are interested.

Thanks for the offer. I've already got the speakers mounted through and into the trunk (DPO). I'm going to give it a whirl myself. Something I've always wanted to do.
