Door liner idea for Bugeye

Moss provides a sheet of vinyl to cover the inside of the door as part of their interior kit. However, the original BE liner was a ribbed material which I guess is made of unobtanium. Not really caring for the look of the vinyl, I found a fine ribbed fairly heavy material at Elliot's Hardware in Dallas that I guess is used for anti-slip treads on stairs or other walkways. It came in a big roll, but it is sold by the foot. I lined the door with some foil backed noise damper from VB before gluing the ribbed matting in place. The door sounds very solid and I think the ribbed material looks better than the vinyl.

Looks great!

Looks perfect! I found something very similar to the original From AH spares (only comes in black) wasnt to pricey I think about $50 for a pair including shipping. Will try to post a pic later.

DID YOU KNOW. The last of the Bugeyes did indeed have vinyl in the doors. A bit of sound deading stuff in the doors brings back the thunk.
