Door latch finish BN7

Can any one tell me if the latch inside the door at the striker and the mechanism at the inside door handle we painted with the door or left out and installed after painting. while we are at it what color is the bar that connects the two

All internal pieces inside the door are just zinc plated. The mounting bracket for the internal door latch assembly was poorly painted with their standard off brown or black primer. Everything was installed inside the door after painting.
