Can anyone identify the door handle escutchions in the pic .
they were on my 64 but they are not correct also they dissapear through the hole in the door panel when installed as they are not large enough .
The old door panels were home made and they worked on those but I have new correct door panels on the restored car .

They look like '60s Jaguar handles to me.
I looked through my books and they were very close if not identical.

Ok lets try this again .
The handles are correct its the escutcheons Im asking about

They are all from the earlier Jaguars. They are identical to the ones fitted to Mark 2's which I have restored in the past.

Surely the window winders had a sort of plastic twidly bit at the end, not chrome throughout, the door catch release should be a shorter thing as well, all similar to the BJ7 if not the same. You can just about make out the details from 'The factory Original' by Bill Piggott, this book has at least one error in it but is reasonably representative of the cars.

Update. Just checked on the SC Parts catalogue and there should be a black end to the widow winder

Bob
