I posted these pictures earlier today in response to someone replacing rockers/sills on an MGB. I thought I'd put them up here while they're still fresh!
I made these several years ago when I was doing a lot of floor/rocker replacements on MGBs, TR4-6s, GT6s and Big Healeys. I never used them on a Spridget, but I figured it would be easy enough to make four more tubes to replace one in each assembly to accommodate larger/smaller door openings.
These fixtures fit on the inside of the door opening and allow the doors to shut flush with the body to check fit. They attach to the same sheetmetal that the weatherstripping attaches to. I put them in place with the car still on the ground and adjust the jackscrews until the gaps are even all the way around the door. Lock down the setting and go to work!
