Hey all,
Can the doors be adjusted to allow for a better alignment
of the door to the front fender ? On my BJ8 the gap
is tight on the right side and the skin of the door is
not flush with the fender skin when closed - probably off
by an 1/8th inch. This car has never had the fenders off
as far as I know. Can you shim the hinges or something
like that to make up for the slight variance ?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,

Yes the gap between the back of the fender and the front edge of the door can be altered by making shims and placing them behind the hinge to move the door back. Similarly, if the 1/8" off set is only due to improperly hanging the door. there is sufficient adjustment existing in the hinge plate to bring the two into alignment Pack a lunch and get a helper--Regards-- Keoke
