Today I taught myself to refit the steering shaft cover between the wheel and the dash.

Now that I know how that works I will never have to fit one again.

LoL, needed to change the main driving lights switch. Using what I know now I did not need to remove cover. Sigh.

Lots of things I don't do like I did 10 years ago. :rolleyes2: Good to hear from you - have you had the chance to use the B? How is it?

Well done, Jack!

She will be fine as I get a few more small items worked. Would love to pull engine and rebuild tranny but is not going to happen in the short term I think.

Other wise she starts and runs with what ever is going down the road or express way in fact scares me at times.

You know I need a drivers seat with a thin back. I have a metal knee, left and is hard to get that foot in easly because of it. The right seat back would give me about 4 inches more room.

Jack, I put a Recaro from a BMW in mine, good side bolsters and less "padding" therefore more legroom. No idea what the model designation is, but it's Spartan where it comes to height and depth. Appears to be a lightly upholstered racing shell. Needs redoing from ingress/egress wear but I really like it. I'll try to get a photo.

Outstanding Doc. Just had a thought on my own for a change. Need to look at a bugeye seat as well I think.

Oh my gosh the Bugeye sweat would work just fine indeed.

Any one know of one or most of one they would sell.

I promise to save the original seat for some one more limber.

These brand new are running about 450$ but you know me I can restore anything Bugeye.

Bit the bullet and bought a new one from the Bugeyeguy in Conn. He seems to have all the hard to get parts and maybe 7 bugs for sale. Mostly fully restored in his shop. Expensive yep, like mid 20's. Should arrive in three work days.
Boy with what I paid this best work.
