Shirley and I just got home. We were driving on a divided four lane and a car tore out of the gas station and nearly hit us. Would have if I had not pulled over to the center lane. Then he nearly rear ended us at the next light. I got ahead of the vehicles in the right lane and pulled over. The next light turned red and all three of us, the two in front of me and myself stopped. The crazy guy came from behind and raced through the red light after the cross traffic had started.
As we pulled off at our exit I saw the guy where he pulled in his drive. I drove over and stopped at the end of his driveway and asked if he always drove like that. He replied that his car was overheating. At which point I politely explained, in my best ex-drill sgt manner, just what I thought of his driving and how I did not understand how the wreck he was driving was worth killing someone and ended with a critique of his person.
Probably should not have done it but he really flipped my switch.

BTDT Tom. There are circumstances when it just cannot be withheld. Just so your ex-drill seargent hand-to-hand training was at the ready if the mook decided to try it on. Hopefully he was contrite rather than arrogant.

Morons need to have their noses rubbed in it. Usually th' stink makes 'em realize they've done something stupid.

I admire your intestinal fortitude. But in many places, you're risking your life *again* if you confront the idiots face to face.

Be strong - but be safe too.

Tom
