Well I found this body and chassie on E-Bay I won the bidding (good thing since I was the only one bidding). So my Wife and I got a trailer and jumped in the truck Friday and drove the 400 miles to L.A. We picked up the car on Saturday morning and back to Brentwood by 3:30 in the afternoon. The p.o. was going to make this TR in to a "racer". But a heart attack stopped him. The body #is TS23351L. There is the usual rust at the B-pillars and surface rust all over. I will take this one in to a media blasting shop to really clean it up. The frame was all done except for the front suspension, I don't need the frame so if any body does let me know. I want to have the TR done for the Triumphfest in Oct. It could be possible. While the old body is off the frame of the TR that got smashed I am going to add a overdrive and have the head redone and a few other things that I would do diffrent now that I am doing the second restore in a year. I bought TS37148L at about this time last year. So another hot summer in the garage. One thing that I noticed about this TR is that the wood in the scuttle above the dash is rotted badly any advice on replacement?

The frame was stripped clean and painted looks prett good but no front suspension was done (all the parts are in a box)

Nice find....

I also just found a MGA 1959 yesterday. It needs a frame though and the guys asking $1900. Neat little car to.

Congratulations Dan. It is a shame that you are going to have to go through the restoration process again so soon. At least this time it is only the bodywork. I hope it all goes smoothly for you.
