Donna Mae Mims has passed away.

I guess I'm getting older.

I recall this gal with her pink Yenko Stinger Corvair in SCCA events in the '60s.

I'd no clue she was that much older 'n me. I just thought her a dolly and a terrific example for other ~girls~ to look up to. "Think Pink" was a War Cry of sorts. :thumbsup:

And Think Pink should be hers forever.

I will miss her...But she had some stories that I will retell.

Just came across one of her old cars (below).

It was at this year's Mitty event (by the way, it was formerly owned by Dr. Jonas Salk)

Of course she had the pink Corvette and pink, Yenko "swinger" Stinger as well.

This photo from Cumberland was sent to me by Bill Emery. This car is in Bill's back yard and he still uses parts from it to support his <span style="font-weight: bold">SCCA</span> TR3.

She was in attendance at both the VRG BeaveRun and Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix events in 2008, I think working the starting grids at least one day. She seemed like a nice person.

I asked DMM to tell racing stories at the Triumph Register of America National Meet in June. She seemed excited to do it, but finally wrote that she couldn't make it. Too bad; it would have been a good time, I bet.

She had pink stationary and a pink business card.
