Some of the funniest moments in 1960s TV for me ... when Dom Deluise played "Dominick the Great", the world's most incompetent magician. Ably assisted by the beautiful (?) Shagundala (played by Ruth Buzzi).

"And now, ladies and gentlemen, before your very eyes ..."

Talented artist, great guy, too. A newpaper article this morning said Deluise always kept everyone laughing on his movie sets, was a pleasure to work with.

Maybe the funniest man on the planet in his day.

You might be thinking of Buddy Hackett? Dom was not in Mad Mad World (just about ever other comedian of the day was)

One of the great ones. Always loved his films, and will always fondly recall him in Cannonball Run.

And Buddy Hackett was one of the greats as well! He could be funny and crude!
