Replaced the bad solenoid on my old starter put the car up on jackstands disconnected the battery and undid the upper bolt. Went to remove the battery cable to the starter and wait a second I didn't remove that wire. Plug said wire back in and what do you know a perfectly working starter. DOH DOH DOH DOH DOH

Oh well now I have a spare perfectly good starter.

...like th' rest of us haven't any "confirmed good spares" in th' parts bins! :jester:

Well, I wasn't so lucky with a spare gas tank today! Had it pressurized, cleaned, repaired, etc. about 4 years ago....I needed it today...full of pin holes!

THAT certainly stinks! How did it get into that condition after bein' checked and refurbed?!?!

Sat in a corner of my garage....guess there was moisture there.

Rats. Has it gone to "red lace" or is there enough left to retreat it? Guessin' it's shot, tho. :frown:

Personally, I'd blame that on a mouse in the corner with a bad habit of pokin' holes in stuff...

I might try to repair it if I need another.....had one that worked.

But you never know when you might acquire another - so don't throw out those parts! (better in your garage than mine, hehhehhe)

So here's where I get to ask again: Anybody need ONE NOS Dunlop Lotus Elite wire wheel? :jester:

Didn't realize Lotus made unicycles - that's weight reduction taken to an extreme
