dog leg repair panels

Ineed to order patch panels for doglegs the wheel well beads are in good shape. can somebody recommend a good source to order these from. mainly my problem is the corner section inch and a half from the wheel well. thanks bob /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/patriot.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/england.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif
 
Stinky60, just make sure they come with the wire.Generally KilMartin sheet metal is safe to use,--Keoke
 
If you can retain the original bead along the edge that is preferred. Here is an earlier thread with some pictures with details on how it was done on my car.

Well Stinkyn60, that depends on ones ability to weld, tools available to work and shape sheet metal. For the novice I recommend using the entire panel where it is cut a couple of inches below the swageline. This method gives a single short weld that with a little bench practice you can handle.Without going into too much detail let me say that either the fender bead is opened a bit or the patch panel and the wire bead is used to bridge the gap.---Fwiw---Keoke
 
John, that was about same way I was going to weld in the panels along those lines.I wish that I knew how to fab new pieces.sure would be more cost effective thanks bob
