Does your window rattle when in the down position?

Hi guys,

My BJ8 window rattles when in the settled down position.
I found a quick and easy fix to silence it.

The window frame has 3 nylon guides. 2 slide in the vent window track and the other slides in the track at the door edge.

I squeezed the bottom of the window track, at the edge of the door, a little to take out the play that the nylon guide has. I did that only at the place where the nylon stops when in the down position.

There's still play in the rest of the window track for the nylon guide when it's moving in the track, but none when in the bottom resting position. Now the glass does not vibrate and make noise when in the down position.

The top of the door has the outer rubber strip and the inner felt strip pressing against the glass at the top.

I wish all the fixes were this easy.

Here's a photo of the track area I made tighter around the guide.

Cheers,
Roger

Only when I leave a couple of doors open in the garage, and the wind blows them around the nail on the wall...
