I am trying to get in touch with Mike Souza in Mariposa, CA, and haven't had much luck. Does anyone here know him?
 
I've spoken to him a couple of times by telephone. His phone number (at least in February of this year) is 209-966-4183.

Ya, I have it. Unfortunately he wont return my calls. He owes me a bonnet thats paid for. I arranged with him to buy a shell including doors and bonnet, and he was to drop it off at a friends body shop for me. But he "forgot" to drop off the bonnet and now I can't get in touch with him.
 
Well, that smells big time. I hope he gets his act together and delivers the bonnet - that's pretty hard to "forget".
 
Ya, he claimed it was in his van and he forgot to unload it, just the roller he all he unloaded off the trailer. I hope he is a stand up guy and not trying to screw me. I'd like to think people in this cirlce are the more honest type.
 
If he would return your calls a person could feel a little better about things but it makes you nervous when they don't. I was thinking of buying the pieces for a wire wheel conversion from him last year for my BE then changed my mind. I was going to drive up there though so felt pretty confident he had the stuff. I hope he comes through and doesn't make you resort to small claims or something - that would be a real hassle as Mariposa isn't right there in your neighborhood.

I got your info Scott, looks like he has screwed some people in the past. Time to get the law involved.
So now it looks like I need a bonnet, any local NICE bonnets out there? I'd like to get a fiberglass one, but a steel one will work.

good new, Mike got in touch this morning and said he could meet up with my father who is closer to him than I and get the bonnet. So its now in my possession. Talking about making a person nervous.

Now that I have it, I need to find a small hood scoop for the small cutout above the carb. Its small, about the size of a weber converted car with the air cleaner they come with in most conversions. It would be nice to find one rounded and shallow.

Anyhow, good news. Thank goodness.
