Doc, Fedora problem! Help!!

Doc, for some reason, when I scroll up, down or even to the side, the screen looks like a rippling waterfall. It didn't do this when I first installed it and since that I reinstalled the system, but it still does it. The movement from one position on the screen to another creates this situation. Any clues for a fix?

Oh, I didn't explain that I have the system set on duel boot for windows and Linux, in separate partitions of course. I've never seen anything like this before. No problem in Windows, just Fedora. The system is fully functional, but the wobbly scrolling will drive you crazy. Must be a way to stop this.

Is this with the browser or everything you use?

It's only in Fedora 11 Doc that every up and down movement and sideways movement has a rippling effect. I've even installed it by it's self on another drive with the same effect. I even had a similar problem with Fedora 6. SO, as I'm not that knowledgeable, actually no knowledge at all, about changing the inter workings of the program, I downloaded the new version of Mint Linux and have found no issues with it. Everything works as it should and moving around the program is straight forward and very user friendly. I'm going to stay with Mint for now, as I think it will be much easier for me to learn Linux through this system. Thanks for all your help on Fedora Doc! It's me! I just ain't that smart! (Grin). And I always thought a Fedora was one of these...

Man, I gotta start thinking about moving into the 21st century.

No wonder I kept getting it messed up! :thankyousign:

Shades of Indiana Jones....

I'll keep to my ancient system and just wear the fedora...

It's an X11 issue, methinks. Video. I.D. your video chipset and Google it for a Linux "driver". It gets into having to edit the xorg.conf file and a few other things.

Actually, Mint is a good distro to use to learn the O/S. It's kinda like its got training wheels.

Just don't give up!!
