I want my pictures to automatically open in something other that my Corel photo program. Somehow it uses that and I hate it as the program is not in my start menu and it takes to long to load.
Where do I change my default pic program

In XP you right click a picture then set the default program.

Tried that, there is nuthin on the menu for that

Look under folder options in control panel. Click on file type then advanced option. Then I would look in the Corel Photo program and make it "not the default application".

Right click the picture icon and choose "Open With", then select "Choose Program". That will open a window with a list of programs you can use to open the photo, check the box under the window that makes the program a default for that type of file. If the program you want to use isn't in the presented list, you can hit the "browse" button to find it on your hard drive. Also, doing this will only change the opening program for that file type. I.E. changing a .JPG file won't effect a .TIFF or .GIF file. you'll have to change the default on each type.

Yup.

...or do the Scorched Earth alternative, then use The GIMP.
